Hyderabadi lamb biryani
Lamb and basmati layered and sealed, with saffron, mint and coriander.
The first Curry Point in Chelmsford · Est. 2020
We started cooking from our home kitchen in 2020 and we have been on Moulsham Street ever since. Hyderabadi dum biryani, dosas off the griddle, haleem cooked down slowly. Dine in with us, or take it home.
On authenticity
We source our spices directly from the markets of India.
That is the whole of it, really. We are from Hyderabad, we cook the food we grew up on, and we do not soften it to suit anyone. The biryani is layered and sealed. The gongura mutton uses proper sour sorrel leaves. The dosa batter is fermented, not mixed to order.
Moulsham Street got the first Curry Point in Chelmsford because we could not find this food in Essex, so we cooked it ourselves.

Plenty. South Indian cooking is vegetarian by default in a lot of places, so the dosas, the vada, the dals and the vegetable curries are all there. Vegetarian dishes are marked V and vegan dishes VG on the menu.
Yes, and they are marked GF on the menu. Dosas, biryanis and most of our curries are made without wheat flour. Please tell a member of the team about any allergy before you order, as our kitchen handles gluten and other allergens.
